This page is of pieces that I am testing. They can be made any size, color, changed, etc. I prefer paintings larger in scale like 2'x3', 4'x4. 4'x6', and I think large sizes will look nice in many rooms. Most of these are 8x11 and can be used as groupings too. We don't want to fill up the walls with art. I just made a bunch to have lots to choose from.
Miles and I both have opinions (of course) but we agreed on these ones at the moment. Miles might like the red smeary one in the arch of his bookcase. Being very fond of metal, I am partial to the gilded ones. I build up texture on the canvas and then gold or silver leaf on top- sometimes I use a black wash over top for more dimension. Miles isn't a big fan of those. And I made a few pairs in case a set might look nice on either side of the dining buffet. I keep the samples on our mantle to see how they look in different lights. I thought you might like to see a lot of them in real life.
Not knowing what you'd like in the foyer, we thought the dog silhouettes would be personal, contemporary, and neutral with the colorful paintings in the living/dining room. They will be matte textured prints. The largest I can make them is 30"x40". We're open to using them anywhere. So there are separate if 2 are needed, and the one with them together if you only want to use one piece.
Just let me know what you think, where they go, what can be changed to better fit the space, and I can work on them more.
